Session
Bravely Teaching by Faith in a Secular Age
with Alistair Begg of Truth for Life
What does it look like for us to teach in a society that increasingly does not like what Christians believe, say, and do? It's tempting to grow angry, keep our heads down, retreat, or just give up altogether. But this isn't the first time that God's people have had to learn how to live in a pagan world that opposes God's rule. Join us as Alistair Begg shares insights from his newest book Brave by Faith that show us how to live bravely, confidently, and obediently in an increasingly secular society.

God wins in the end and He loves us enough to want us in His family. That’s the banner we should carry for the unsaved!🙌🏽
Beautifully said
Lots of things I loved in here; I totally do feel like an alien sometimes; we do (sometimes) need to speak up, but we also need to show love to others, be sure to speak from the biblical perspective in a respectful way. Great teaching.
Wonderful! Working in a public school this was so great so I can let my light shine for the Glory of God!
It’s a ministry!
The idea of God confidence by knowing God and His word is necessary in order for us to integrate a biblical worldview and perceive and share the “lesson” through a biblical lens. I Timothy 6:20-21 (Timothy, protect what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called “knowledge”— which some have professed and thereby have gone astray from the faith.) reiterates what you taught. Thanks for your message.
Amen!
Great words! Thank you! I found it funny how he said he could not go back to school and be a teacher — and yet he clearly is a teacher! Made me giggle. Just like ministry happens outside a church, teaching happens outside a school, every day! 🙂
What is a good Bible verse that I can post in my room or memorize to help remind me to be brave and to draw on God for my strength not myself?
I like Exodus 14:14.
I like 1 Peter 5:7. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
