  • Lori Adams says:

    Karen, Mike, and Jessica,
Thanks for taking time to share with all of us the bottom line of your prayer life. It was memorable and missional. Thank you for living proof of prayer lived out through your lives.

  • Molly Myer says:

I loved this session. Each of you have provided wonderful opportunities to pray. This session I will listen to over and over again.

  • Jodi Avila says:

I love the idea of exhorting God with the ABCs. A different word for each letter about how amazing God is!

  • Christi M says:

I love that idea of praying A scripture over children, family, friends, cop workers, etc. To specifically pray those Scripture blessings over them!

  • Christi M says:

Love the idea of a partnership with God in prayer.

  • Carol Montag says:

Lots of good insight from each speaker! Using scripture to write and talk back to God. Be open to ask God to use me in other’s lives to prayer for them. Prayer is a delight and adventure. We get to pray to the God of the Universe because we know Him and abide in Him. Abide- Listen- Follow. Always pray in adoration first, recognizing who He is.

  • Barbara says:

Wow, what an incredible session! Each speaker shared points that resonated with me, and I am excited to apply them to my prayer life. I am a substitute teacher and pray for the school and students each day I teach, but after hearing the speakers, I am eager to deepen my prayers and ask God for His eyes to see, ears to hear, and to begin listening over people, becoming a willing instrument for Him to use. I also want to comment on something Karen said about getting unstuck, which is to take your prayers outside. I started doing that about a month ago, and it has made a huge difference in my prayer life. Thank you for am amazing session!

    • Jesica Glover says:

Barbara, you got soooo many take-aways!!! Glad you’ve taken prayer outside to get unstuck! I’ve been doing some podcast episodes about prayer walking. So powerful!!

  • Carrie Ray says:

It is good to include scripture in prayer and then use that scripture to guide your prayer and important to pray each morning for your school day.

  • Sally Kaiser says:

This was my favorite session so far! I have heard and felt God calling me to a deeper prayer life and wasn’t sure where or how to begin. My biggest take away from Jessica was about aligning prayer with God’s Word and out of my identity in Christ. The biggest take away from Karen was going outside and partaking of God’s beauty and Creation while in prayer. From Mike – I loved the “listening over people, places, and things.” Thank you – all of you for these wonderful insights!!

  • Christina Koide says:

This session was very encouraging. My prayers have been a bit on the short and shallow side lately. Hearing the conversations about prayer being an adventure and having delight and expectation has been a blessing to broaden my understanding of the broader reality of prayer. I’m on our school prayer team and have been offering simple prayers. Reminders to pray the scriptures, write prayers down, listen to Gods leading, and expect him to move are new tools I can add to my prayer life.

    • Jesica Glover says:

I love your take-aways… making prayer FUN!!! God is excited to partner with you and move through your prayers!

  • Lori says:

Praying: God, is there something you want me to say or do today….and then being obedient.

  • Terri says:

This was my favorite session so far. I love the comment about prayer being a privilege.

  • Kim says:

“Listen over people, places, situations”: “Is there something you want me to see, know, do regarding ___?” Turns prayer from duty to adventure!

    • Jesica Glover says:

Yes!!! Wasn’t that a fun thought? Going WITH God, inviting Him to show you what’s on His heart… it’s an adventure!! I am so glad you were blessed.

  • Jamie says:

I love the comment that prayer is a privilege. It is true!

  • Lyn says:

So many good practical ideas that can immediately be put into practice.

  • Michelle says:

Thank you for sharing. I loved all the ideas but I am particularly taken with Jessica’s thoughts about prayer being identity, not obligation. I’m looking up some of the texts she used.

    • Jesica Glover says:

Michelle, I love that you’re taking to heart thinking about praying from your identity… love that the scriptures are encouraging you to dig deeper. 🙂

  • Tricia says:

Thank you for sharing your personal insights regarding prayer. Each panel member gave a little nugget to focus on in my prayers.

    Show up with expectation
Memorize scripture to give it away
    Live in the question

Now it’s up to me to be obedient to God and a more faithful prayer warrior. Thanks for your words.

  • Valerie says:

This was so encouraging! It shifts my perspective back to the relationship of prayer. Thank you.

  • AnneMarie Long says:

Such a great reminder of how prayer can be integrated into our everyday lives even during our busy school days.

  • Makenna says:

So good!! Thankful for prayer warriors with such practical wisdom to share!

  • Barbara says:

Thank you for your honesty and openness. I, too, have had times when I try to nod off during prayer, Karen. Or in the middle of it, I think of 16 things that need to be put on the grocery list.
Mike, it is hard to imagine you arguing or bargaining with God. But I have done that. “God, I don’t want to do this.” or “I will be embarrassing to do that thing.” But the blessings come when we obey.
Jessica, praying a dialogue with God over scripture is a great idea. Thank you.

  • Katelynn says:

I am so grateful for this powerful session and the words of wisdom and encouragement given from these prayer warriors. I loved the perspective from Jesica about praying the promises of God and not only venting our problems. I definitely plan to rewatch this session!

    • Jesica Glover says:

Praying this way has saved me from visiting unbelief when God was calling me to lift my eyes to HIM!! 🙂 So glad you were encouraged.

  • Victoria Cleavinger says:

Wow. This is what I needed. Some quotes that stood out:

“Prayer is a privilege. It’s not something we have to do but get to do.”

“It’s an adventure, not a duty.” “…from duty to delight.”

Please pray for me, that I would delight in praying for my students and school, and that I would not be distracted as I pray!

    • Jesica Glover says:

Lord, I thank you for Victoria’s heart to move with the impulses of your heart and pray “as she goes,” that she wouldn’t put a “heavy” on herself, but walk with you in this adventure called life each day– knowinG YOU delight to speak to her and cause her heart to expect you to show up! Thank you for wooing her heart to yours and giving her eyes to see and ears to hear what you are up to in any given moment. Help her to see beyond the task to what’s most important to YOU. Thank you for a new understanding of adventuring with you in PRAYER– our constant convo with you!

  • Michelle Swenson says:

I love the idea of “listening over people”. I want to be more intentional about asking God what He wants me to say or do each day (more than once a day). This was a good reminder to do that!

  • Nancy says:

Prayer is so powerful! I love these examples & reminders to pray boldly, to pray scriptures over our students and pray blessings over them. I’m thankful for these presenters and their heartfelt advice too. I want to delight as I pray, not feel like it’s a duty.

  • Michel says:

God’s word pushes back the darkenss, it’s good to use his word to pray rather than thinking we have to find the ‘right’ words. Being a declaring pray-er!!!
I will use the idea to have a scripture for each student – Rom 15:13.
It’s important to deal with what is blocking my decision to pray, or my hearing from God.

  • Emily says:

Look into students’ faces and ask God what He wants us to see today.

  • Cheryl Rios says:

    Hello – I had 2 take aways – 1. Praying in Victory – not as a victim
    2. Watch/See and ask God to reveal things about students, etc., to pray for and see him provide us insight.

  • Ronnie M Arrington says:

Pray as if I have already won! What a game changer for me…
Pray the promises of God not from problems!

  • Suzanne W. says:

    Biggest takeaways:
    * Praying Scripture (Have heard before, but always a great reminder!)
    * Listening over people and asking God honest questions: What do you want me to do today? Who needs prayer? Who needs to be noticed? (Don’t think I’ve heard it like this before!)

  • Krissy Flynn says:

I am a natural questioner. I never thought I could ask God questions and expect Him to answer with a prompting. Key to the this is to listen and then follow through. Thank you for encouraging us to go from duty to delight.

    • Jesica Glover says:

Listening prayer is powerfully transformational! I hadn’t known about asking specific questions and waiting in expectancy that God would answer right away either! Journal praying has become so fun!

  • Heather Kohnen says:

Wow! This is a MUST watch session if you want to partner with Jesus to transform your school!

  • Becky Baker says:

I first want to say that I love these 4 people! They are truly a blessing and I am blessed to have met them last year and can still listen to words they speak from God to us! The big takeaways from the session from Jessica I got were we are kingdom intercessors, praying from partnership, and our prayers should be filled with scriptures and power, and we get to pray in delight instead of obligation or duty.
I also liked how Karen says we can speaking blessings of prayer using scriptures over our children, grandchildren, students, principal, etc. I don’t have grandchildren yet but one day I should do this with them but I can also start now doing this with my children and others.
Mike said we should listen over people. Sometimes if we just listen to people the Holy Spirit will speak to us on what to do. We should ask the Lord what do you want me to see, know, and do? Then we need to obey, even though fear creeps in.
The biggest takeaway I have from the session is I need to be praying more for my colleagues and asking them how I can pray for them and pray with them so we are covering our school in prayer more. I would like to share this session with others at my school.
And Morgan did a fantastic job hosting this session!

    • Jesica Glover says:

Becky, your feedback is so encouraging! And even better– God was speaking directly to your heart through what we shared. 🙂 Love it! Lord, show Becky how to just BE who you made her to be as she interacts with her colleagues so that “as she goes” she will feel and hear your promptings for the just right moments when can receive her invitation to prayer. Thank you for wooing her heart to yourself! You are faithful and we love you, Lord!

  • Shanna Daubenspeck says:

Wow! What an amazing session! I am planning on listening a second time just to be able to take it all in. Thank you to Jesica, Karen, and Mike for sharing so many wonderful pieces of wisdom regarding prayer. And thank you to Morgan for closing with such a wonderful prayer.

I particularly enjoyed the reminders to pray scripture — particularly Psalm 91. Thank you all!

  • Michelle Keso says:

This is a must-watch session for anyone desiring to grow deeper in their prayer life. Each of these prayer leaders speaks with such authenticity and wisdom, offering practical ways to renew and enrich your conversations with God. I especially appreciated the personal stories—they remind you that everyone experiences seasons of feeling “stuck” in prayer, but also that God always invites us forward. You’ll walk away encouraged, equipped, and asking, “What can I add to my current prayer life to take it to the next level?”

    • Jesica Glover says:

Thank you for your encouragement, Michelle, as I see you as a seasoned prayer warrior! It’s in the real everyday living that we get to try our faith muscles in prayer– to be proved pure as gold– and getting to speak out of real testimonies, even hard ones comes with so much more authority and confidence to give away to others… Thank YOU for the ways you have taught me to press through when things are hard by example. 🙂

  • Jen Frey says:

Great tips from these 3 speakers for our prayer mindset. Karen’s point about writing down notes to Jesus is so great. And Jesica thank you for your very honest reaction to the student who accepted Christ. It’s So True that sometimes I pray and then am surprised when God answers!
