Equipping Teachers To Boldly Fulfill Their God-Given Calling
Helping Educators And Their Students Unlock Their God-Given Identity And Unique Purpose (Part 2)
with Dawn Rowe of Christian Educators
In part 2 of our 2-part series on identity, we will apply the powerful tools we learned in part 1 directly to our work with students. Throughout the pages of Scripture, David’s God-given identity becomes clear: shepherd, poet, warrior, king. God used him powerfully when he walked out these identities in faith, but when David strayed from them, so did his impact. What if you could help your students unlock their God-given identities, and strengthen their motivation by unlocking their purpose? Author and educator Dawn Rowe will walk us through the process of helping our students discover their God-given identities, which is possible even in public schools.

This helps show ways to faith to develop identities in our students. When SEL first began, my radar went up. I am glad that there has been a turn in the concept and my school has been good about using SEL in ways I can incorporate my belief system.
I love and will use the “give it to love” and for my kids I know are Christian will maybe talk to them later about it’s really giving your lie to Jesus.
It’s a simple lesson and way of presenting it that even the younger kids can understand.
I love the idea of redeeming SEL and inviting “unconditional love” into the classroom.
The biggest takeaway: pay attention to what you like to do and enjoy, and what other people say to encourage you.
This was such a helpful and motivational message! I appreciated how Dawn walks is through how to help our kids find their identity in a way that is totally legal yet life changing!
The strategies shared are so helpful to be able to walk our students into knowing their true identities. The best part of this for me was the reminder in Dawn’s prayer which is “to remind us that we are on mission to love our students well” and to “help us call out the gold in our students”. May I be reminded of that and walk in that daily!!
Dawn clearly teaches the principles and practices to help students unlock their God-given identify. The power of her presentation is in the personalized examples of her experiences and success.
Dawn these truths are SO POWERFUL. I have used many of these things in my public school elementary classroom. I agree with your words, we must submit and trust the holy spirit to speak to kids. My biggest take away? 1. We need to be PRAYED UP to walk in these truths of identity in our classrooms.
2. We need to remember and trust that the Holy Spirit has an individual identity for each child and that they can hear him speak if we create the space and “teaching” for that to happen
And you do this so well in your life, your students are blessed to have you.
