About Nick Vujicic
Aussie-American Nick Vujicic was born in 1982, to the shock of his parents and doctors; without limbs. There was no medical conclusion as to why he was born this way, but in spite of his physical limitations, his courage and tenacity for life have caused him to become one of the biggest motivational speakers in the world, known as an expert on resilience and reframing challenges.
As a teenager Nick began trading stocks and options, and bought his first real estate investment at age 19. At 21 he graduated from college in Australia with a double major in accounting and financial planning.
Nick has traveled to 84 countries, presenting on 3500 stages, to crowds as large as 800,000 people. He works with education ministries of various nations, live streaming his anti-bullying messaging to youth, and also developed the Attitude Is Altitude Curriculum, helping to enforce values and positive attitudes for Gen Z.
Meeting 35 Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Vice Presidents and at the same time addressing rescued human trafficked victims and orphans, Nick has a message of hope for everyone.
Nick married his beautiful wife in early 2012 and they have four children; two boys, and twin girls. They moved from Southern California to Dallas, Texas in mid 2020, where they currently reside today.
Nick has a mission and mandate to change the world for the better- one person at a time; using his life and example as a testimony of hope, helping people to find their value and purpose, and also encouraging them to partner together, with generosity and love, to be the change- one day at a time, using the tools they have been given.

Thank you, Nick, for being faithful to God’s call and encouraging us to be faithful in ours. Your statement, “If God gives us the plan, then we follow the plan, not God. If I have the plan and follow the plan, I don’t need faith” really resonated for me.
Thank you Nick for sharing your story! I loved the 3 questions piece to ask God. Thank you for this information! I also liked how you inspired others to keep loving and you don’t have to be a teacher it is anyone working in the schools. Lastly, I liked how you reminded us we are not the source of hope but we can point others to the source of hope.
Thank you, Nick! Love your testimony and ministry! Lots of take aways from this session, but one that really struck home was the prayer for 3 things to ask God: What do you want me to stop doing? What do you want me to start doing? What am I doing well or that pleases you that you want me to continue doing. Love this prayer and will apply it starting NOW!
I loved the 3 questions too! This was very helpful and applying it now too.
Such a powerful testimony of resilience! The last thing he stated stuck with me… play your part, you are a teacher, you are an ambassador for Jesus Christ.
Remembering, we plant many seeds that we may never see grow. Just like the janitor is his testimony, planted that seed for him. We do not know how seeds will grow, but we trust God in the process and we continue to be obedient disciples for his Glory.
Yes I loved how he mentioned we plant seeds and we all can do that!
Thank you Nick for sharing your story. It was a good reminder that our faith is in God, not in a plan, and we don’t see how He is working until later.
I’ve followed Nick since high school and have always loved his speaking engagements. Gratitude is so important to our thought processes. I definitely am guilty of becoming negative lately with admin changes and procedure changes. I want to regain my gratitude and start impressing that on my students. My other biggest take away was his quote, “You are not the source of hope. Point them to the source of hope.” In everything I want to point my coworkers and students to my source of hope which is Jesus. Life is hard, and Jesus is the only one we can put our hope in.
He said that teachers are very important. First – parents, Next- social media, Then – teachers. We can speak into the lives of students. We can make a huge difference.
This video really resonated with me. I live with chronic pain, and like Nick, I’ve prayed that God would somehow use it for His glory. Teaching while managing pain isn’t easy—some days it’s a real struggle—but I know I’m not the only one. If you’re in that place too, you’re not alone.
Powerful Quotes:
If God gives you a plan, then you would follow the plan instead of God
It’s not about our capability, but our availability to be used by Him.
Teachers are not making a difference—they are the difference.
I don’t need to hold my wife’s hand; I just need to hold her heart.
The glass was never half empty or half full—it was overflowing.
Remember, you can’t carry anyone’s burdens—you can only point them to the One who can.
Don’t get stuck in the yuck—keep holding the line and planting on the front lines of the next generation.
Oops – typo –
If God gave you a plan then you would follow the plan instead of God. WOW!
There were so many great quotes I heard during this session. For example, “You’re not a teacher. You’re an embassador for Christ.” I am reminded that this is not just a job–it’s a mission field. And I have no idea who is walking into my classroom each morning and what their needs are. They need Jesus, and I get the opportunity to represent Him to them every day. May I do it well! How this changes perspective!
I was blessed to hear Nick’s presentation tonight. How incredible it was to learn how God has used one man to influence so many people for Him! I felt encouraged to keep serving and giving God my availability.
Thanks for your inspiration and to ask those three questions of what to Stop – Start – Continue doing.
This was so AWESOME!!! Thanks!
Powerful. I never looked at it from the perspective of trusting in the plan takes away from trusting God. Food for thought.
Soul saved, heart healed, mind renewed… that’s joy. There is so much Truth to process in his whole message, but I am excited to see what he is being led to do in education.
What an amazing message. One that encourages and brings hope. “You can count the number of apple seeds in an apple but not the number of apple trees.” Thank you so much for sharing.
something to live by: Questions to ask God: (1) What am I doing that you want me to stop doing? (2) What am I not doing that you want me to start doing? & (3) What am I not doing well that I should start doing better?
I’m not just making a difference, I’m making THE difference. What an amazing time tonight. Nick, thank you for reigniting our joy and helping us to examine our resilience and courage. May God continue to bless you and your next endeavor!
What a very powerful message! So glad I joined the session.
“You are not a teacher! You are an ambassador to Jesus Christ!
Tell kids everyday they are beautiful! Bond with your kids.
Be courageous! How can you plant seeds without getting handcuffed!
THANKS for the encouragement.
There was an awful lot to take away. Thank you, Nick, for the encouragement and the challenge to us to be resilient, courageous, and joyful.
I was interested to hear about Hope Squad. I am sad that it is needed.
I can’t carry anyone’s burden, but I can point them to the One who can.
It seems that there are many disabilities. Being without God is the biggest one. Lack of arms, legs, sight, hearing, and mental competencies all pale in comparision to not knowing God.
Thank you for a great session.
Love the sense of humor and the powerful message from Nick Vujiucic. I was struck when he said that the influence on children stops with teachers; there is nothing else.
I was so encouraged with his remarks to us as educators. We ARE the difference. What we do is so important and I know the enemy wants to discourage us and have good Christian Educators leave the public education arena, BUT I KNOW He has called me to it and I praise God for Nick and CE who continue to encourage us, to support us – that we do make a difference and that we can’t see all that God is doing through our “ministry” of teaching. It is a calling and one I do not take lightly. Thank you for encouraging and challenging us tonight to MORE faith, More courage, More seeds of love to plant. It matters. Amen!
Wow! Thanks so much Nick for sharing your story with us! It was very inspiring and just what I needed. The five points were amazing as well. Thanks again for taking the time to speak with us.
wow! So inspiring and convicting! How God knows the plan and it isn’t our job to wait around for him to reveal it, but to work from His word.
This was the best encouragement- in the classroom for 40+years- I still thank God for assigning me to the field. For calling me to be the difference!
I look forward to seeing what encouragement God will pour out to my school after being apart of this session!
Don’t make a difference; be the difference. You can count the seeds in an apple, but you cannot count the apples in a seed!
God can and will use me, but I don’t need to worry about the how or the plan; I just need to be available, willing, and walking with Him!
Wow! Thank you for those thoughts!
Wow! I really needed this tonight. What a powerful message and such an inspirational man of God. I am a seed planter 🙂
Key takeaways:
There will always be something you wished were different about our lives; without an attitude of gratitude, there can be no joy.
“Following the plan means not following Him”…that’s such a good point. It’s really a way of wanting to take the control/responsibility that only belongs to God.
Our worst circumstances can only last for about 90 years!
You aren’t the source of hope and can’t bear burdens for others, but you can point to the One who is and who can.
Such a powerful message!
You aren’t the source of hope. Point people to the One who is.
I’m not a teacher; I am an ambassador for Christ who happens to teach.
Nick is so inspirational and great suggestions to deal with obstacles in life. Very powerful perspective.
