Equipping Teachers To Boldly Fulfill Their God-Given Calling

Helping Educators And Their Students Unlock Their God-Given Identity And Unique Purpose (Part 1)

with Jamie Winship of Identity Exchange

In part 1 of our 2-part series on identity, Jamie Winship of Identity Exchange will walk us through learning our unique God-given identities while developing our ability to hear God’s voice. You will be blown away by Jamie’s life and death stories of radical dependence on the Holy Spirit while serving as a police officer, and then as an intelligence agent/missionary in the Middle East. Surprisingly, what he learned has direct application to our classrooms. When we understand our unique identity and purpose and learn to discern God’s leading, there is no limit to what He can do through us in our schools, families, communities, and beyond.

  • Carol Montag says:

Pray and ask God. We are His children. He wants to be involved in our lives minute by minute. Agree with God about the truth about Him and ourselves.

  • Tricia Mc says:

Take aways: Ask God he gives generously and He wants to WOW us. Ask questions and expect answers — be in His presence! Write down what comes to mind.

  • Virginia Wright says:

Tell me what you believe about yourself that hits you?

  • Gwen Rowe says:

    Confession is truth telling.
The process of finding/confirming and living out your identity: Truth Tell, Mind Change, and Form Change.

  • Terri says:

Thank you for sharing your stories. I am going to try asking God to tell me what I need to know that o don’t know.

  • betsy loyd says:

obedience = hear and respond – what I believe about myself (truth or lie) matters more than I thought

  • Sharon says:

This was so inspiring to me. I will implement asking God every day what I need to know that I don’t know and to show me how to implement it. So powerful. I am so glad that I enrolled in this training.

  • Kayla says:

Thank you Jamie for your wealth of knowledge and stories! I love trainings where I can visualize how to implement this with my students. I’m part of a group that does this at their annual Weekends (like a retreat) where we write down our failings/sins and give them over to God and the leader burns them. I want to share this process with everyone!

  • Suzanne W. says:

I tell kids to listen to the voices in their heads: if something doesn’t sound like what Jesus would say to us (“you’re forsaken, you’re irredeemable, your unworthiness is big enough to block the worthiness of Christ covering you, etc.), based on the truth of Scripture, it is something we can fight. That concept that it’s offensive to God to believe ANY lies, including about ourselves, is big.

  • Emma says:

Wow… What a powerful reminder of the importance of speaking into each child’s identity. His stories had me in tears… at how awesome our God is!

  • Shannon Anderson says:

Wow its so much. Talk to God and listen for His answer. He will direct my instruction and my questions about who I am.

  • A beautiful takeaway: David, that’s true! You ARE a Mr. Jensen! Thank you for the drumsticks 🙂 I haven’t put them down since July 🙂

  • I always love listening to Jamie speak, and his God stories, which are things that ONLY God can do! His simple, easy to remember method of habitually asking God 2 very simple questions (what do you want me to know, what do you want me to do)has literally changed my life, and I share it with as many people as I can. This is a must-watch session for everyone!

  • Nicole Johnson says:

This past summer, I attended the leadership conference at which Jamie spoke. I walked through the process that Jamie talks about, and exchanged the lies in my own life for the Truth that God has for me. Yet, participating in this session and walking through it again has been a wonderful reminder that it takes practice and is something that must be done daily to keep the lies from creeping back in. This is a must-see session!

  • Rebekah Hutchinson says:

As always Jamie hits it out of the park! My biggest take away? When Jamie said, “It began with a realization that God STILL speaks and his word STILL cuts.” So powerful.

Identity work has and continues to change my life. Jamie thank you for sharing your wisdom over and over. I loved the quote “a life built on contemplation leaves to innovation.” I am so thankful for the truth you bring, that God speaks so continously EVERY DAY. That we CAN ask him and we CAN hear him. The truth that you can ask God question and that he ALWAYS shows up.
